Acts 7:26-29 King James Version (KJV)
26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
28 Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

Acts 7:26-29 Amplified Bible (AMP)

26 Then on the next day he suddenly appeared to two of them as they were fighting, and he tried to reconcile them, saying, ‘Men, you are brothers; why do you wrong one another?’ 27 But the man who was injuring his neighbor pushed Moses away, saying, ‘WHO APPOINTED YOU RULER AND JUDGE OVER US? 28 DO YOU INTEND TO KILL ME AS YOU KILLED THE EGYPTIAN YESTERDAY?’ 29 At this remark MOSES FLED AND BECAME AN EXILE IN THE LAND OF MIDIAN, where he fathered two sons.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

26 These are two Israelites. They were fighting among themselves this shows that they needed something bigger than Moses to bring them together, God was the one that had to bring them together and sometimes it is simply by Him that we are united. Moses was trying to be a peacekeeper; the Lord would later use him for this.

27 Moses came across as judgmental rather than trying to help things when we give advice we need to make sure it helps and comes out in a way they may hear.

28 Moses had authority this man could have been punished for speaking to him in this way. What Moses had done was known now.

29 Moses did not have to flee Moses’ life was most likely not to be threaten because of his actions but what Moses wanted was to help his people which he could not do so he ran from his problems.
