I stumbled upon this site, only God and Google know how, and felt the urge to share with you some things which have occurred in my life recently. I'll try to be brief though it's not really my nature. I was a long haul truck driver for years and at the tender age of 49, I suffered my first and second heart attacks. I was alone, doing some work on my mother's house when it occured, and unbekownst to me, the physician notified my family, who were all gathered at the home of one of my youngest sister, that they didn't expect me to survive. Though coronary artery disease does run in my family, the truckers diet, sure didn't help. So, long story short, I lost 30% of my heart tissue and now have a defibrilator/pacemaker which makes it impossible to carry on as before since I am considered a high risk for sudden cardiac arrest. At the behest of my family, I applied for Social Security Disablity following the first attack, though I was certain it was an exercise in futility given my age. In the process I learned that most people are turned down flat and those who do receive benefits must wait 18 to 24 months for approval. In just over six months, my application was approved and not only do I now receive those benefits but I have qualified for retraining which will eventually return me to the work force in a job which does not require physical activity. Meanwhile, as I have been living with my mother and stepfather since the attack, I located a trailer to put on some property I planned to build on prior to the attack. Though I did receive back benefits, it wasn't enough to cover the trailer, but when my circumstances were explained to the owner he happily agreed to finace it in answer to my prayer. It turns out he purchased the trailer for his son who also faced disability and needed temporary housing. Only God could move the dealer to point me to a web site where I would locate the trailer, giving up a potential sale in the process. So, as you see, though many challenges have been faced this past year, many prayers have been answered as well, and as his word says, "... in all things God works for the good of those who love him ...". I hope this is the appropriate place to post this, but if not, please forgive me since I am new. A Soulful Heart

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's a great example of how God works. Just when things seem their worst, God has already made a way. Your post is in exactly the right place and so are you. Thank you.
