I believe God is always present and there for us. I believe God gave us freedom of choice when we chose to come to this earth. I believe we came hear to learn and we chose what we wanted to learn. God has not deserted us or does not ignore our prayers. God honors us and our choices. Life here was not suppose to be easy we came to learn. We do the best we can, love the best we can make it through life here and go home with our experiences. What we do with them hear is our choice, we can chose to learn, we can chose to let them destroy us, we can chose everyday what we will do, who we will love and then we go home. Things happen in this world and alot of them hurt and alot of them will destroy you if you let them. Rise above them, you can if you believe God is always there with you. Love will heal anything. Love is God and always will be. It is part of you and always will be. Living in the Light!

dwilli -

That's very comforting thinking. Only thing is: it presumes pre-existence. Yes I know God has said He knew us before we were even formed in our mothers' wombs - that doesn't necessitate that we existed before that point.

All life comes from God and upon physical death that life returns to Him Who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12.7).

If our spirits are imparted from God, then of course He knew us before we were conceived but that does not signify that we existed as independent spirits apart from God Himself.

In either case though, it is what we do down here that makes us who we are - as you said.

Shalom.
