As a minister in a certain denomination, I was qualified to take extension courses in their university. Though I wasn't on a church staff, it was common for the denomination to have independent ministers.
During my prayer time one morning, It seemed to me like God was saying, "Talk to Donna about the college she's going to." I reminded God (as if He'd forgotten) that I was already going to college through my ministry in this denomination.
The next day, I received a letter from my denomination rescinding my ministry license and dis-qualifying me for their college...because I wasn't on a church staff.
God knows how to let you down easy.
God usually let's us down easy - but even when He allows something really rotten to happen - like a rough let down or fork in the road - there is always a reason for it. Usually it is to break us down and bring us closer to Him so we are again united with Him...but sometimes we don't know until much late - or ever - why things happen the way they do. It's just Romans 8:28...everything happens for a reason for us who love God...(read scripture for exact quote) Even if you were let down - look where God has you today - exactly where He wants you to be!!!
