Numbers 19:9-10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

9 Now a man who is [ceremonially] clean shall collect the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and the congregation of the Israelites shall keep it for water to remove impurity; it is [to be used for] purification from sin.10 The one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. This shall be a perpetual statute to the Israelites and to the stranger who lives as a resident alien among them.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

9 This is the third man involved in offering the heifer. This priest gathered the ashes to remove them, this symbolized throwing away the sins of the people, they kept the ashes this was to remind them, we as Christians need to think of Christ on the cross for us to be reminded of what He did for our sin.

10 This was the sin offering which would be fulfilled with Christ dying on the cross in place of the heifer and what He did lasts until the end of days for those of us who accept that sacrifice He made on our behalf.

To be persecuted is to follow after Christ.
