Acts 9:23-25 King James Version (KJV)
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.

Acts 9:23-25 International Standard Version (ISV)

23 After several days had gone by, the Jewish leaders plotted to murder Saul, 24 but their plot became known to him. They were even watching the gates day and night to murder him, 25 but his disciples took him one night and let him down through the city wall by lowering him in a basket.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

23 So the Jews then wanted to kill him, this is exactly what they wanted to and ended up doing with Jesus before. The people who hate Christians those are those who take time to plot against it.

24 So God let Paul know because God had more things for Paul then for the Jews to get him now. Sometimes God will let us know things to protect us.

25 These are the Christians that he came to lead to death that now are helping him escape the city. Godís plan is amazing and seeing it work thru is often so different that all we can do is take time to praise Him because by no other means could the things He does happens.

To be persecuted is to follow after Christ.
