As a minister in a certain denomination, I was qualified to take extension courses in their university. Though I wasn't on a church staff, it was common for the denomination to have independent ministers.

During my prayer time one morning, It seemed to me like God was saying, "Talk to Donna about the college she's going to." I reminded God (as if He'd forgotten) that I was already going to college through my ministry in this denomination.

The next day, I received a letter from my denomination rescinding my ministry license and dis-qualifying me for their college...because I wasn't on a church staff.

God knows how to let you down easy. wink.gif

God usually let's us down easy - but even when He allows something really rotten to happen - like a rough let down or fork in the road - there is always a reason for it. Usually it is to break us down and bring us closer to Him so we are again united with Him...but sometimes we don't know until much late - or ever - why things happen the way they do. It's just Romans 8:28...everything happens for a reason for us who love God...(read scripture for exact quote) Even if you were let down - look where God has you today - exactly where He wants you to be!!!

Big Love - Justine

Sorry....I am such a dork.... you have to erase the original in order to reply in the box....well.. I am a work in progress!!!! Point here is that even if we are let down sometimes - let down gently or landing smack on our butts with a loud wake up call..... our Lord loves usenough that He allows these things to happen so we return to being reliant on Him....

The other thing that comes to mind is this: For a long time in my own life, I got in God's way... He has a prefect plan for each one of us. When I was in His way with my own agenda - with what I thought was best at the time... He landed me hard on my butt - in the hospital in fact, in a way that forced my life to change direction... He wants me to allow His plan to shine through and for me to get out of the way of my own destiny... I feel so free now - like all I have to do is trust Him, and the rest will all work itself out. I work hard at goals every day, sure...but their His goals, not mine... and when I need to just let go and let God do His work around me or through me... then I do it....

It all comes down to the fact that even though we have letdowns..God really DOES have our best interests at heart.

Much Love In Him,

Justine <>< <>< <>< biggrin.gif
