Though our net joint income is only about $ 3,700 per month (very low for California), God has blessed us and enabled us to live in a way that most would envy. Of course, we don't the latest electronics, toys, cars, clothes and other stuff that most people have come to believe are necessary for a happy life. In fact, we can't really afford gardening help or other things that most hire someone else to do. So, why is life so good? God has blessed us so much. We have a small new custom home on 20 acres in an area that is more beautiful than most places on Earth. We have deer, turkeys, dove, quail and many other wildlife we see every day. We can sleep with our windows open. We can't afford many vacations, but we wake up every day as though it were vacation. I find myself just gushing with praise for God several times each day as I see His work in every cloud, flower and animal. I didn't write this to make you envious, but to spur you on to grow very close to God and follow His plan for your life, regardless of pay and benefits. We can't even conceive of the blessing He has in store for us.
