I was recently researching the concept of visualization - the ability to harness the imaginative right side of the brain to help heal the body (I'm always looking to learn something new, I guess!) - when I 'stumbled' across this nifty little site. You should all read it. Most people out there don't even believe the power of personal prayer, but this site describes multiple double-blind scientific experiments on the power of what they call 'nonlocal' prayer. That's when someone else prays for you. THey tested it on everything from hospital patients to growing rye to bacteria in a test tube, and the results are undeniable! Really interesting stuff. Here's the link :

http://1stholistic.com/Prayer/hol_prayer_proof.htm (I guess just copy and paste it?)

Hope you enjoy it. God is truly the Lord over all things!

It's true, that's what Paul wrote, prayers of faith for the sick.

Be careful though, there are some sects called Christian Healers. You don't want to get involved with them. When browsing, don't take any notice unless it's absolutely scriptural, and not their own version of the Scriptures.

Some will try and deceive the very elect according to Paul, just a word of warning to anyone reading about Judaism and all that type of stuff. It has the potential to deceive you. I don't think God would let you be deceived, since you are elect, but still be careful.

My own experience suggests that those who are in most need of prayer are understandably unsure of its effectiveness. On the flip side, those most certain of its effectiveness are prayer warriors.

I think it's great that it is a topic considered worthy of investigation. On the other hand, I'm somewhat concerned that such analyses might serve to officially reduce prayer to a mere mental process.

Shalom.
