God Has a Hero

Our buildings reach high in the sky
Our highways stretch far and wide
Our cell phones connect us through the air
Our airlines take us everywhere

This spiritual vacuum
Is taking its toll
Looking for a guru
To sooth the soul

Many are drowning
In a sea of fear
The end is coming
They can see it clear

The enemy is knocking
Loud on our door
Say they will strike us
Like they did before

Claim their message is
Heaven sent
That the fall of the West is imminent

Are you puzzled are you stuck
Read through the book of Habakkuk
The enemy was heaven sent
The fall of the West was imminent

God has a hero
Waiting in the wings
He’s the Alpha and Omega
The ruler of all things

He’s coming on a white horse
He’s nobody’s slave
He’s no longer in the manger
He’s not lying in the grave

He promised to return
And claim His bride
You’re either with Him
Or cast aside

I like this poem. It’s about the End of this Age which is a MAJOR area ofmy own ministry.

The only thing I think I’d change is the following final verse:
“He’s the Alpha and Omega
The ruler of all things”

…to this:
“He’s the Alpha and Omega
And the King of all kings”

But then…I’m not the author.

Shalom.
