Continued from Assurance Of Salvation
1. If I did something really bad, like murder or child abuse,
could God forgive me? Yes! Mk 3:28-29 "
I tell you the
truth, ___ the sins and blasphemies of men will be ________them. But whoever
blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an
eternal sin."
2. Maybe I blasphemed against the Holy Spirit! Jn 3:17-18 If you're concerned
about it, you haven't! Jn 3:17-18 "
For God did not send
his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
_______ believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does ___ believe stands
_________ already because he has not believed in…God’s one and only Son."
3. What if I sinned after I accepted Jesus…I'm toast, right? Wrong! I Jn
1:8-9 "If we claim to be _______ sin, we deceive ourselves and the _____ is not
in us. If we _______our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our
sins and ______ us from all unrighteousness." John was writing to followers of
Jesus when he said we can't claim to be _______ sin.
4. Maybe I used the wrong words when I asked Him to come into my life.
"Whoever believes"
5. What if I didn't feel any different after I accepted Jesus? He 11:1
"Now faith is being ____of what we hope for and certain of what we do not ___."
For many, the new life comes with no initial "experience" of any kind. "Come
____ to God and he will come ____ to you." Ja 4:8
6. What if I still feel guilty for the bad things I did? That's normal! The
devil wants to give you doubt any way he can. Understand two things: _________
has done bad things. Ro 3:22-23 There is no____________ if we are in ______
_____. Ro 8:1-2
7. If bad things happen to me, doesn't that mean God's punishing me? No!!! Mt
5:45 "
He causes his sun to rise on the ____ and the good,
and sends rain on the _________ and the unrighteous."
If the devil tries to make you feel you aren't deserving of God's forgiveness just remember, it's true, none of us deserves it. That's why Jesus took our punishment, so He could offer forgiveness to all who believe.
If you got to this point and still doubt your relationship with God, you need to take some action. Understand there is no other way to live forever with God, than through _____ Jn 14:6. None of us can ever be good enough. Accept your utter dependence on Jesus to bring you into God's family. Then just ask Him to do it; to come into your life, purify you and give you eternal life. That's what I did!
1. Continue with this course.
2. Regularly spend time with the Lord in prayer. Later in these courses we'll
cover prayer in depth, but, until then, discuss everything with Him. Even if you
don't 'sense' an answer, He answers every prayer.
3. Regularly spend time with the Lord in His Word. We'll cover this in depth
later on. Just remember, this is the main way you will know God's will.
4. Regularly spend time with a few other followers of Jesus (Mt 18:20) and He
will __ _____, too. We recommend you do this in someone's ____ (Ro 16:5, Ac
2:46). The idea of home meetings as a way to do church hasn't been around for
over 1,600 years. Prior to that, for 400 years, homes were the place the
church met. You see, in the biblical sense, http://www.web-church.com
is a church. If you and a few friends and family get together regularly
to visit web-church you can have as good a worship and teaching experience as
anywhere else. Before making a final decision on where and how you worship, We
recommend you finish the Life Cycle courses.
5. Regularly tap into the teaching at Web-Church.
Finally, know you are a child of the living God, through Jesus Christ. You have power you haven't begun to discover or imagine. Don't let anything put you off of the new course in Jesus Christ.
